 Days 1-4: UBUD

Jet lag will be no joke when you arrive in Bali, and Ubud truly is a great place to get with the rythm of life. We are leaving this section a bit more low key, because your hours will be fully wonky and you’ll simply want to relax. The Ubud lifestyle is waking up early and going to bed early so it will be a very nice way to get into the balinese life

Tip: get yourself a hotel with a pool for some chill time which will be much needed.

If you are into Yoga, you can do it any of the days, here are our 3 recommendations (THEO TO CREATE ANCHOR TAG HERE)

Day 1: You are going to be up at the crack of dawn in days 1 and 2, so take advantage!

  • Before sunrise, go to: Campuhan Ridge Walk. It is a beautiful 2KM hike (not hard) with amazing views and seeing the sunrise over it is truly magical.

  • Come back to your hotel, have breakfast, smoothies etc and maybe a nap

  • Hang by the pool day

  • Massage in the afternoon.

  • Dinner at one of these places. (JULIE TO LINK THIS WHEN READY)

Day 2:

  • We guarantee you will be up by 4AM again this day, so let’s do another morning walk. Head over the the Penestanan Stairs. Another beautiful hike. Quite a few stairs on this one (JULIE TO WRITE MORE HERE)

  • After your hike go have breakfast at Zest UBUD (open at 8AM). [we would recommend you bring your book on your hike so you can chill at this place for a while]. All vegan but as non-vegans we can say we adored the food here!

  • Go back to your hotel and chill a bit

  • If you are feeling up to another activity in the afternoon, head on over to Monkey Forest. So many monkeys and a nice walk through the jungle. This won’t take very long and is relaxing.

  • Have dinner at some of these places (JULIE TO UPDATE)

Day 3: Rice terrace?

Day 4: Take a Cooking Class

We took a morning cooking class at Paon Bali and we liked it alot! It was about 9 of us in the class where everyone got along. The setting is in a beautiful open kitchen and the food we made was delicious!

You start off with a tour of the market, then you stop at a little village rice field and you finally head to a family’s amazing balinese compound where you will be cooking.

We cooked about 7 dishes and had a feast which resulted in a food coma by the pool when done!

Great way to spend a relaxing day in UBUD.
