Here is a list of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv in our opinion. After a month in Tel Aviv we got to try quite a few. But also, we have amazing friends who live or have lived in Tel Aviv and made so many of these recommendations! So they are extra special!!
Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv: Lunch & Cafes
Bucke Cafe: Delicious cafe with the best Shakshuka i had (everything is good!). Great for breakfast/brunch.
Miznon : By the same owner as Port S’aid, this small restaurant is a great spot for an on-the-go bite. They have a few locations in the city.
Dr Shakshuka : All the types of Shakshuka! Not to be missed.
Abu Hassan: Touted by locals as the best hummus spot in Tel-Aviv, Abu Hassan is a must visit. Make sure to try the Mssabbaha, it does not disappoint.
HaBasta : Great place to grab lunch if you are near the Carmel Market! Great vibe and delicious food!
Cafe Levinski: Not a restaurant, but a cafe. Their iced coffee is to die for and the kombucha is delicious with fresh fruits and herbs.
Best Restaurants in Tel Aviv: Dinner
Port S’aid : One of our favourites in Tel Aviv. The food is delicious, and the vibe is amazing. There may be a bit of a wait. Just grab a drink and wait! It’s worth it!
Vicky Christina: A lively spot with outdoor space. Live music starts at 10pm most nights. (Sitting at the bar likely gets you free shots).
Romano: A hidden gem* for dinner. (at the gmaps address there will be a random door with no address but many stickers, open it, go through the yard and at the end, go up the stairs on your left)
Dalida: Trendy day and night! Adored their feta brulee (think crème brûlée but with feta and sugar. YUM.
Ouzeria: We ADORED this place - great vibe and delicious food!
Suramare : Came more for the drinks and view than the food! But so lively and fun it’s worth it. It’s a bit tricky to find. (When you get to the gmaps address, go down through a parking lot and turn right, you’ll see a random little entrance with someone waiting to guide you)
Hanan Margilan : A small, no frills, secret place serving Uzbek Food. This clear beef broth soup with dumplings we will dream of for a long time.
Sheila : Our Airbnb host described this as “the fancy place you make your parents take you to”. It’s pricey but the food is mouthwatering delicious!
HaBasta : Right next door to the Carmel market. This little joint get’s so very lively at night! The food is refined and yummy!
